We have an AMAZING team of mixed ages and backgrounds here at Aotearoa Surf. Each of our staff are responsible and dedicated to supplying our customers with high quality, safe and fun lessons for all ages and abilities.

Trainee Surf Instructor Aotearoa Surf School

Part Time

Trainee Surf Instructor

Overview:

– Seasonal work from September – May.

– You will be an upcoming surf instructor (we can help with your qualifications).

– Perfect for those wanting to  spend a summer in NZ!

– Approximately 20-40 hours per week (flexible).

– Rostered to work around your schedule (however we request all hands on deck Christmas and New Years).

– Full support for international applications – accomodation, training program & certification

Responsibilities:

– Assist our Surf Instructors in delivering an array of surf lessons.

– Meeting and greeting guests.

– Issuing gear.

– Running safety briefing.

– Working with kids.

Surf Instructor Aotearoa Surf School

Surf Instructor

Full & Part Time | Fixted Term | Contract

Overview:

– Seasonal work available Sep – May.

– Approximately 25-40 hours per week.

– All hands on deck around Christmas and January.

– Full support options for international applications – accomodation, vehicle assistance etc

Responsibilities:

– Delivering an array of surf lessons, programs .

– Meeting and greeting guests.

– Issuing gear.

– Running safety briefing.

– Working with kids.

– Must be qualified in level 1 or 2 ISA.

Guest Relations Aotearoa Surf School

Full Time

Guest Relations

Overview:

– Year-round work available.

– Approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

– Checking in customers (Eco Pods and Glamping Accommodation).

– Shop Sales and Customer Service.

– Hire service.

– Host retreats.

– Phone enquiries.

– Online maintenance.

Operations Manager Aotearoa Surf School

Full Time

Operations Manager (Position Filled)

Overview:

– Year-round work available.

– Approximately 40 hours per week.

– We will provide you with all necessary training.

– Leading our team to be the best we can be.

– Working alongside the owner of the business.

Responsibilities:

– Running a number of programs including our Ultimate Kids Surf Camps and Women’s Wellness Weekends.

– Ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our customers

– The go-to person for our team and daily operations.

– Guest relations.

– Preparing rosters, training staff and performance reviews.

– Day-to-day team management.
