For those surfers or who really want to get the most from their time in the water then private lessons are the way to go. You’ll be amazed by how quickly you progress.

Available for individuals, couples, friends or larger groups who want their lesson exclusive! Suitable for all skill levels – absolute beginners, intermediates or more experienced surfers. Each lesson is 2 hours long, personally tailored to suit individual or group needs. Private lessons are available all year round, at times that are convenient for you.

Lesson Outline:

Coaching will depend on your individual skill level & goals.
Beginner Lessons, Intermediate Coaching, Progressive techniques Safety, surfing fundamentals, positioning and paddling, getting out back, reading waves, chasing peaks, timing and take offs, generating speed, bottom, front and back turns, or how to master the duck dive & much more.
We always cover ocean safety and surfing etiquette

I thoroughly enjoyed each class and was up on the waves pretty quickly with the expert guidance and teaching from Aotearoa Surf School! We learnt everything from understanding the dynamics of the beach, waves, swells and different techniques on getting up and riding the waves! As thrilling as each lesson was, I couldn't have done it without the teachers. Everything was supplied from the wetsuit to the board and sunblock, which made it super easy for me as a Mum to just turn up and give it a go. Hands down a five star experience. Thank you!
