Give your kids a birthday party to remember forever with a beach and surf party at Auckland’s best beaches.
Just over an hour north of Auckland is the stunning surf beach of Te Arai, where kids birthday parties include 2 action-packed hours learning to surf and having the time of their lives with Aotearoa Surf. All equipment is provided by Aotearoa Surf.
Suitable for ages 6 – 17, our birthday parties are specifically designed to get kids up and riding boards quickly, safely and having awesome fun on their special day. No experience is necessary and boards and wetsuits are all supplied!
We meet at Aotearoa Surf shop ahead of your party’s start time. Everybody gets a wetsuit and a board and then we head over to Te Arai beach, for 2 hours of beach safety, and surfing fun. Mangawhai Heads and Orewa are also possible for birthday parties – just ask us.
Everyone gets surf tuition from our certified surf instructors, who are not only fully qualified but are also passionate about teaching kids their love of surfing and being on the water.We put on an unforgettable day and we round it out by making photos available from your party!

Aotearoa Surf offers 2-2.5-hour kids birthday parties every weekend at 11am or 3pm.
Location:
Whilst we are based at Te Arai, Black Swamp & Forestry beaches (these sit next to each other, just over an hour north of Auckland), we are a mobile surf school and also operate from Mangawhai Heads and Orewa. Te Arai is known for its consistent surf and good, safe waves as well as its incredible beauty, so it’s always a good bet for good surfing conditions on the day.
Prices and numbers:
$55 per surfer
Adults are more than welcome to join in the fun and learn to surf along with the kids. You’ll learn a lot, have heaps of fun and be standing, riding waves, by the end of the day – our guarantee!
Please note: a minimum of 6 surfers is required.
If you are not sure of the numbers at your initial booking, have no worries as additional surfers can be added in the days leading up to the event.
