The Kids Summer Surf Program is a 3 lesson / 3 day progressive surf program.
Operates from 9.30am to 11am every week right through the summer school holidays at Te Arai beach & Orewa Beach. Te Arai The #1 local beach, pristine white sand, untouched, with consistent ocean conditions. Orewa perfect for our Auckland groms.
Changing rooms and toilets available. All equipment is provided by Aotearoa Surf.
Overview:
We aim to get everyone surfing as best they can over 3 lessons. This is a fun, holistic and challenging program! All surfboards and wetsuits provided. Surfers are grouped by ability and age with new techniques taught daily.

Orewa Beach Ages 6+
Te Arai Beach Ages 7+
Suitable for all level of surfers or kids who have never surfed before!
Outline:
- Beach awareness, understanding the wind and waves, staying safe at the beach.
- Surfboard design and use, sea entry and correct surfboard handling.
- Catching waves with correct body and hand positioning.
- Paddling, learning the pop up technique and riding a wave.
- Speed, acceleration and breaking
- Front side and back side turns
Cost:
$169 full 3 day program ($189 over a public holiday)
