We would love to book again for next year!! Aotearoa Surf had friendly staff dealt well with students. Activities targeted at the ability level of most students and great gear for us to use, top quality, lots to fit all sizes, great rash shirts to identify students as part of Aotearoa Surf programme. It was an excellent location which provided just the right level of waves. Instructors explained things clearly and were engaging and fun. Everyone was able to stand on the surfboard and enjoyed the beach games and beach education. Let’s go again!!!

The team at Aotearoa Surf were awesome with our students, making sure that everyone participated to a level that was right for them. It was great to see our students experiencing success in the surf. It was easy to communicate with the team, and we are looking forward to doing it again as a school.

Thank you so much for an awesome day at Te Arai beach on Wednesday. The kids had an epic time participating in your Wave Warriors Surfing and Water Safety programme. I was particularly impressed with how your instructors were very clear with their instructions and demonstrations, always making sure that every child understood what to do before they got in the water. The students could easily relate to your instructors too and although they were very serious about getting the learning intentions across to the students, your instructors were also able to have a laugh, which is always appreciated by 11-13 year olds! As a teacher, safety is always a concern when students are in the water. We had 32 students in the water at one time, and not once was I worried about their safety. Your instructors acted with calm professionalism and were always alert and following the highest safety measures. You have provided an opportunity to our students which would have otherwise been impossible for many. We had a range of students (one with a prosthetic leg and two autistic students to name a few) and your team catered for them all. Of the 96 students who participated, ALL of them experienced some success. This is invaluable and something they will always remember. We cannot thank you enough, for bringing this awesome sport into our school. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

I would just like to let you know how much my class enjoyed their experience with Aotearoa Surf in Mangawhai on Monday. Your instructors Ebbe and Bowen were awesome and super patient with me and my class. The kids were buzzing! Today we spent the whole day learning about surfing, writing about our day and watching some surfing on YouTube so they could get an idea about what real surfing looks like. So many questions!! 😂 What an amazing experience you guys offer and for my class who would probably never get a chance to try surfing it was truly unforgettable. Please pass on our thanks to your instructors and to the powers-that-be that made the day possible. We will definitely be back.
